Vis Swimming Marathon

To celebrate the Assumption of Our Lady holiday , the 2,200 metre long international swimming marathon takes place from the island of Host to Carinski gat pier on the waterfront.

The marathon takes place on the first Saturday after the holiday.
The Vis marathon is also included in the Croatian Association calendar of Remote Swimming events.

Rich awards will be assigned to participants in a variety of categories: the first three places in professional men's and women's categories will be awarded as well as the best amateur, the youngest female and male participant and the best Vis swimmer.

The Sporting programme will be accompanied by a rich cultural and entertainment programme.

All information about the marathon can be obtained from the Vis Tourist Board's office and you can present your application to take part in the next marathon at any time during the whole year.
