As with many other fishermen's hamlets, summer cottages have also been constructed in Stončica but because of the steep and high shore as well as due to the unapproachable and narrow terrain they have not predominated the bay but have harmonically merged into the landscape.
Those few fortunate people having the chance to spend their holiday in Stončica, will enjoy the idyllic combination of civilization and rough country. On the only sandy beach on the northern part of the Vis coast is the ever-popular restaurant which has enabled Stončica to become a famous Vis excursion destination as well as a favorite destination for navigation experts.
Stončica is connected to Vis to the north and to Rukavac to the south part of the island and is just 10 minutes drive away from most destinations.
